Customer feedback

What do our customers say? We offer an excellent customer service to enable each client find the right instrument.

This is just a really quick email to say how much I’m enjoying my new violin. I bought a De la Dyle violin from you in late October. I started rehearsals a week later for 'Once' the musical. Unfortunately like all in our industry the tour got pulled a few weeks ago with months still to go. There wasn’t a day that went by with out someone commenting on how lovely my violin was. It has made me so happy and I thought in these dark times you’d be pleased to here this.

Many thanks. See you when all this rubbish is over. I’ll need a rehair!!!

Thank you very much for fixing and then rehairing one of the violin bows you made for WCS. The speed with which you returned it to school meant that the students were able to use the quartet of bows in a performance of one of Vivaldi's L'estro Armonico concerti at the Bishop's Palace in Wells. It was great showing off the bows to the audience, describing some of the differences between the early bows and the more familiar Tourte model and it was also lovely to be able to tell the audience who made them...

Esto quod es (Be what you are)

I recently asked Philip and Kathrin to clean, repair and rebush the pegs on my old Italian cello, rehair a couple of bows and help me with some insurance valuations.  I was delighted with the results: their craftsmanship is of the very highest standard and all the work was undertaken with great care and respect for the instruments involved.  They couldn’t have been more helpful and I would be happy to recommend them for any job, large or small.

Dear Philip, just a quick note to say a big thank you for re-hairing my 3 bows.  It is a great pleasure to play on a bow that actually works! I have been struggling with a bad re-hair and the contrast is huge.  The fiddle bow bedded in within 30 minutes – this has to be a record.  It was good to meet you and see the workshop

Thank you for your help with the Tubbs bow – it was ‘The One’- we both like it and, more importantly, so does my fiddle

I am so happy with my new violin, thank you!

I was very happy with the service and advice given by Philip Brown
